Clifford Smith & Buchanan understand the emotional issues that arise when a family member or loved one dies. So far as possible we shall try to take away the anxiety and pressure associated with the Administration of the Deceased Estate allowing the client therefore better to spend their time remembering the Deceased rather than worrying about the paperwork.

In many cases a Grant of Probate or a Grant of Letters of Administration from the Probate Court will be needed in order to retrieve the assets due to the Estate. The issues may be complex and there may be Inheritance Tax difficulties to take into consideration.

We can deal with all the relevant formalities, collect in the assets and discharge any debts or liabilities prior to distributing the Estate to the beneficiaries in accordance with the Deceased's wishes or as dictated by the law. We can also then assist the surviving relatives or beneficiaries in their own future financial plans in the light of the changed circumstances.

All dealings are of course entirely confidential. The work will be undertaken in a sympathetic manner and strictly in accordance with the client's instructions.
